Dear Sir, please allow me the space in your valuable paper
Imagine the torching of cars nightly on every island in the Bahamas.
Imagine the College of the Bahamas, Government House, and all Local Government offices, clinics, and schools being torched throughout the Bahamas islands.
Imagine the United States, and other countries, who citizens visit the Bahamas frequently, issuing a travel advisory to its citizens not to travel to the Bahamas because riots have taken over the Bahamas.
Imagine Sun Atlantis, and other resorts throughout the Bahamas being torched, or the Paradise Island Bridge and other bridges throughout the Bahamas being bombed, burned, or disabled.
Imagine waking up one morning and a different flag is flying at the top of Government House, or the Governor has a last name of French origin. Never say never.
Imagine one day, a riot triggers all of the above because police executed their duties in a situation such as the Nassau Village riots against two youths who’s parents probably came to the Bahamas illegally, either squatted on Bahamian land or is renting from a dubious Bahamian. Eventually, the majority feels like society owes them something, or they cannot get a job, and the list goes on.
Imagine the police taking action against these youths which results in a violent revolt in every illegal shantytown or illegally squatted land where persons take to the streets rioting against the people of the Bahamas. Retaliating for feeling disenfranchised, not welcomed, or not being able assimilate.
Well we better wake up in this country, because at the rate the Governments of the Bahamas, both past and present are dealing with our illegal immigration situation we are definitely on target for an incident to spark a riot that will spread and will undoubtedly destroy this country.
Abaco for example, is a dormant volcano waiting to be a spark that will be the catalyst for other settlements and shantytowns to finally get the anger, hate, and revenge out.
Many Bahamians, the majority of who live in Nassau does not have a clue to what is going on in the various Family Islands.
Finally, “The chickens have come home to roost” in France.
France bought many of those illegal settlements into being because the French wanted cheap labor and many French people profited from human smuggling, illegal hiring of immigrants, corrupted Government officials, and dubious French people who simply undermined their own country for short term profit. This sounds like many of our Bahamians, but we need not point the finger because we know what island and who encouraged such actions. Yet still, the are reaping what they sowed and blame the Government after they made their profits and encourage the illegal process. Religious leaders, Government Officials, Immigration Officers, to our very own citizens are to blame for the large illegal immigration presence in our country. Be also reminded that the Treaty signed in 1985 is nothing but total nonsense, because if I came here illegal in 2005 and you don’t know I was here, I will tell you that I was here from 1984 so that you can legalize me. Like D Paul Riley would say “Think About It”. This Treaty undermines our very existence.
The French Government and people are presently showing Bahamians what can go wrong when you do not address a problem immediately but allow it to fester. We spend millions of dollars marketing a beautiful country but hide the reality of the illegal towns that are growing out of control just like the suburbs around beautiful Paris. The Governments of past and present have all failed.
Watching the international news, as well as reading many International daily newspapers, brings to mind what can happen in the Bahamas. The riots in France started on October 27th, 2005 when Bouna Traore, 15, and Zyed Benna, 17 were electrocuted at a power substation where they hid from police. A third youth was also injured. The city of Clichy-sous-Bois erupted into violence. By October 31st, the unrest had spread to an estimated nine other Paris suburbs. What make you think it cannot happen in the Bahamas.
We are presently going through, and have been going through in the past Thirty-five years, (35yrs) the same illegal immigration thrust in our country.
There are those areas throughout the Bahamas where Haitian communities are growing unchecked. New faces appear every week, more babies are born every week intentionally in this country, they are being schooled for free, and have taken over the clinics, and our health care system. Needless to say they will soon be given Crown Land and you as a Bahamian have to fight to get just apiece to farm on.
Our Governments and our dubious Bahamians of past and present have sat by and allow this illegal immigration to become the norm in our Bahamian society. It will eventually come to head and these same disenfranchised youths will riot and bring anarchy and chaos on this country. Believe me, Nassau Village was only an example of what is to come. The sad part about it is that our Government officials simply want to ally themselves for votes, and do not know the difference between church and state. Imagine in Abaco, if the Mudd, Pegion Pea where they want to put lights and roads, and Sand Banks were to rise up Abaco. Right now the Abaconian’s would not have a chance, by the time our Defense Force arrives if the boats can afford fuel, Abaco would be a Haitian State with many revenged deaths if they were to really want to take it over.
In Nassau, Eleuthera, Exuma, and many other islands many shantytowns are now growing. The illegal children are not kids anymore, some are doctors, lawyers, Policemen, Defense force officers, Immigration and Customs Officers and some simply want more by any means. Our system, which appears to shut them out, will eventually, as human nature would have it, rise up to violence to get what ever they want, and they will be assisted by those working right on the side of you in your office who you did not know was of Haitian descent.
The Bahamas should take note and realize that the riots in France were a time bomb waiting to happen. Why should we in the Bahamas who are experiencing the same illegal immigrant and social behavioral patterns believe that it couldn’t happen in the Bahamas.
Stop the squatting and shantytowns now and do not allow a certain member of the church, in a certain island to sell fear for a dubious purpose, and not a justified cause. To find his motive just check his background.
Stop those boats from docking out by Long Wharf and are being registered to dubious Bahamians whom obviously have no regard for this country.
Deny public health care unless you contribute to National Insurance.
Do not issue any more work permits unless they have a sponsor who can pay for them to be here, and have legitimate work.
Fire, and jail all Immigration Officers who took bribes if proven, some say we may not have an Immigration Department.
The Election is coming and the politicians will be out again to get your vote. I do not know what blood pumps through your veins, but as Bahamian blood flows through mine of many generations, I urge the people to make it a priority to get our countries identity back in order and avoid a French style inflicted riot in the future.
